Captian Marvel ......Shazam!!

In the 1940s Captain Marvel was the most popular super hero, out selling Superman and was also the first comic book super hero to be adapted to film.
Due to a copyright infringement suit saying that Captain Marvel was an illegal infringement of Superman and the fact that Marvel Comics trademarked their Captain Marvel comic book, since 1972 DC has used the trademark Shazam..................

From the 1940's Captain Marvel Tie-Clip still on the card.

ROBOTS

FROM THE LATE 1970'S SHOGUN WARRIORS
Based on the then popular giant robot anime ( animation originating in Japan)
they came in three sizes 24", 5", and 3.5 "

Here are two of the 24" these were plastic but had cool fists that shot off and rockets to blast the enemy

here are the 5" die cast version

Another popular robot Voltron

The Original TV series came out in 1983
Here is the Deluxe Diatarn-3 robot another Japanese toy this one could transform from a robot to a space fighter plane to a battle tank. But you had to put these together then take apart and reassemble to make the different figures.
These were really great robots but were just the for runners to the ever popular Transformers, Gobots also came out in 1984 they transformed from robots to vehicle.
